With its essential shapes and slow, sinuous movement, Wave suggests a new, more attentive awareness of the entrance ritual. The design reinterprets an Asian archetype, the shoebench, which is ennobled from a service complement and made into a welcome element suitable for even the most sophisticated interiors. The micro architecture, designed with simple and fluid gestures, is made of thick natural copper that plays with curves, solids and voids. The vertical wave-shaped wall in perforated copper lightens the volume and softens the sculptural form, accompanying the motion of entry; the movement emphasises the presence of the "emptying" plate, inviting us to deposit the objects we bring from outside. A large top allows seating for undressing, the base accommodates and stores bags and shoes. The natural copper, not superficially treated, becomes a living material that changes over time and acquires different shades of oxidation - brighter where there is more intense contact - emphasising day after day the gestures of those who use it.
